In the mythic land of Middle-Yorkshire, at the Nexus of Bean, Sean Beans from every reality gather for a quest - to destroy the Amulet of Binding and be free once and for all from this perpetual cycle. But Beans are relatably flawed by nature, and a new foe rises in the west, and the Band of Bastards must contend with threats from within and without if they are to prevail.

Goblin Trek: Goblins In Spaaaaace! (or, Goblin Quest Into Darkness)

A game using the Goblin Quest rules, led by John Keefe.

For eons, goblinkind has marveled at spaaace - the Ceiling Lights, the Glowball, the Night Circle, and the mysterious worlds beyond. Thanks to advances in trebuchet-and-firework-based propulsion, the first ever band of Astrogobs have the chance to chart the infinite beyond. Your crew is incompetent, your "ship" is held together with rusty nails and snot, but even if you shoot for the moon, at least you'll end up among the stars (also, y'know, dead).

This game will be great if you like Star Trek, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, or any Saturday morning cartoon described as "<Thing> but in spaaaace!"

Characters will be built in session. Bring a comedy brain.

This game will be great for new players.

This game will be very very silly and balance role play with combat.

This game will be played on the con’s Discord server and spectators will be welcome.

CW: Cartoon violence and comedic death

Goblin Quest!

Goblin Quest!

A game using the Goblin Quest rules, led by John Keefe.

Goblinsburg is a small town of goblins nestled in a cozy volcano. It's a miracle the place has survived, given how incompetent goblins are at, uh, everything. It's going to be a busy week - a festival, a feast, an attack by an army of """"heroes"""". It's up to you and your little clutch of gobs to choose how to spend your day, whether it's completing a personal project, preparing for doom, or just slacking off. A note of warning - goblins have an amazing habit of dying during mundane tasks. Don't expect everyone to survive.

This game will be great if you like Lord of the Rings, Loony Tunes, Animal Crossing, heavy metal and games where losing is fun.

Characters ill be built in session. Bring your comedy brain.

This game will be great for new players.

This game will be very silly and balance role play with combat.

This game will be hosted on the con discord and spectators will be welcome.

CW: Cartoon violence, cartoony deaths

Numenera: Ending The Endless Battle

Numenera: Ending The Endless Battle

A game in the Numenera/Cypher system, led by John Keefe.

The Endless Battle is a unique kind of hell in the multiverse, a series of thrashing wormholes and overlapping realities contained in a region of spacetime zoned by forgotten techno-gods for perpetual war. Armies clash across battlefields the size of galaxies or smaller than atoms. Those that return can rarely describe what they've seen. You've got a mission to end it once and for all, or at least make some cash trying. This game will feature powerful self-created characters in a high-concept, action-packed science-fantasy setting with randomized story elements. Think Inglorious Basterds meets Interstellar, or X-Men in Middle Earth.

This game will be great if you like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, The Dirty Dozen, Firefly, X-Men, Rick and Morty.

Players should build characters ahead., I'll send out character creation surveys and we'll add finishing touches in-session. The game runner will provide the quickstart PDF. It's a very simple system.

This game will be great for players who are new to the system though it will be best if you have played some RPGs before.

This game will lean a little on the serious side and favor role play over combat.

This game will be hosted on the con discord server and spectators will be welcome.

CW: Sci-fi violence, war themes/imagery.

Double Bill of Chaos!: Bubblegum RPG & Everyone Is John

A game in the Bubblegum RPG & Everyone Is John systems led by John Keefe

Two anarchic RPG's for the price of one! In Bubblegum RPG, you shall play as a gang of buffed-up, ultraviolent 80's action stars on a quest to complete a sightseeing tour of Chicago landmarks. Can you get from the Picasso to the Bean without burning the city down? Let's find out! Then to wrap up, we'll play Everyone Is John, a game where you play as voices in the head of a man named John, competing for control over his strange destiny. What are your goals? Where is he going? Which voice will win in the end? Even the GM doesn't know yet! But it will probably involve blowing things up.

  • This game will be great if you like comedy, competition, and cartoonish chaos.

  • We will build characters in session., Players will have a short survey to fill out to gather material. For Bubblegum, players will be invited to make an Expendables-style action persona. For John, players will decide their own skills, goals, and will offer locations we will cycle through randomly as we play (can be anything from Costco to Grandma's House to Middle-Earth to Mars. No limits, pure anarchy).

  • This session will be great for new players!

  • These games will be goofy and lean a little toward combat.

  • This game will be hosted on the con’s discord server and open for spectators.

  • Content Warnings: Humorous violence, humor relating to mental illness (i.e. "hearing voices")

The Hidden Air Temple - An ATLA-verse RPG - Part 2

The Hidden Air Temple - An ATLA-verse RPG - Part 2

A game in the Numenera/Cypher (modified) system led by John Keefe.

After the passing of Avatar Korra, no conclusive reincarnation has appeared, and some fear the cycle may be broken forever. A team of Avatar-hopefuls have been assembled from all nations to live and train together - some are friends, some rivals, some may even be non-benders just here to lend a hand, but all are aware that any one of them could inherit a power, and a responsibility, they can barely comprehend. In the midst of this tension and excitement, spiritual auroras have been spotted over an uncharted pass of the Patola Mountains. Team Avatar(s) are sent to investigate, and what they discover may change the world forever.

  • This game will be great if you like Discovery, character exploration, and thrills outside the violent kind.

  • Players will do a brief survey for character creation, which the game runner will use to pre-gen characters, with finishing touches in-session.

  • Guidelines for character prep: The main question is - who do you want to play as in the Last Airbender-verse? My goal is to accommodate this inside the Numenera System. Constraints will be made for balance purposes and pre-gen options will be available, but otherwise you are unrestricted. Bender, non-bender, size, shape, gender, color, specialty, focus, you decide it and I'll make it work.

  • This game will be great for new players.

  • this game will lean to the silly and balance combat with role play.

  • This game will be played on the TTRPG Pickup Con Discord Server. Spectators are allowed.

  • Content warnings: PG content.
