“Escape from Dino Island” a Standard One Shot in the PbtA (Powered by the Apocalypse) system. Led by Nona de Koning.

  • Indecisionist Productions Chicago, IL, 60641 United States (map)

"Escape from Dino Island is a thrilling adventure game in the style of Jurassic Park.

It's about intrepid heroes trapped on an island overrun with creatures from a lost age—dinosaurs! It uses the PbtA (Powered by the Apocalypse) system and is specifically designed for oneshots.

Players take on the role of everyday people who are brave and competent, but also in over their head. The game is designed to help you create the kind of stories that are full of action and suspense, but in which fighting is rarely a good option. Pick from several Archetypes you'd expect in a Jurassic Park style game, like the Paleontologist, the Hunter, the Kid and several others!

Stuck on the island with danger and dinosaurs everywhere, will you escape with your life? And what kind of person will you become in your quest to survive? There’s only one way to find out…"

This game will be great if you like Jurassic Park, dinosaurs, exploration, adventure, survival

Players should build characters ahead.

We will build characters in the session.

Players can pick their Archetype playbooks ahead of time in a Discord thread set up by the GM a day or two in advance.

New players are welcome.

Players will be learning this system together with the game runner.
