The remote Barrier Islands are situated on the coastline outskirts of The Antebellum American South - - - Or is this America? The Barrier Islands are reported to be the habitation of many strange things, men have had meetings with hooded black men who hide a second hyena-head behind their hood, women have heard the crying laughter of Boohags in the bogs at night, Tommy Rawbones stalks that night in the swamps and lakes, and even towns, and there is a lighthouse whose light mutates those it touches deep in the wilds of the islands. Or so the people say - - - You are a pirate on the coast of the Barrier Islands in the employment of Deadly Smedley, notorious pirate captain. With them, you ply the rivers and the sea of the Barrier Islands and care not for the strange tales of the islands. That is until Deadly Smedley wants to attempt helping a slave runaway-escape on a plantation - - - that is where the truth behind the tales begin to enter your life.

This game will be great if you like Django Unchained, Lucio Fulci's the Beyond, Pumpkinhead, the horror stories of Ambrose Bierce, Pigeons from Hell by Robert E. Howard.

Players should build starting characters ahead. You have to create a pirate character in the service of Deadly Smedley.

This game will balance silliness with seriousness and lean heavily toward role play over combat.
