The territory of Rilleah has been suffering since the Eight Years' War, not least because the victorious New Council decided it was a great place to send demobilized soldiers and refugees. The Earl and his advisors have been looking for something to do with this unexpected influx, and one of them thinks he's found the solution: round up groups and have them explore the cave-riddled chasm at the edge of the territory. Farmers and villagers have been reporting night raids, and some say they're coming from there. Plus, of the four parties the Earl sent into the caves, only one person survived, and he's a little too unwell to talk about it. If you decide to sign up, you may eventually win a profession, property, and riches, instead of a spot on a mandatory work-detail, which is the choice the "recruiter" is offering you.

CW: I did not write this to be a killer dungeon, but it is intended to be difficult. Strategic thinking, luck, and a familiarity with creating new PCs in-game will all come in handy.
