The Time Traveler’s Wife: Part 3
Due to an incredibly inconvenient genetic mutation, two pop culture observers/zany podcast sidekicks/most excellent friends are here to give you some fun and maybe a little hope through a breakdown of time travel media.
In this episode our hosts have chosen two pieces of technology which featured in the movie. They’re going to tell us all a little more than we might have known before about the history of the wheel chair and the absolute basics of Gene Therapy. That’s right, we’re taking the big swings in this episode. Find all of us on Instagram @BSilverio20 (twitter too), @NYDErngenc and @TheIndecisionist and use #Time2Party to let us know what you thought. Do you know more about these topics than we do? Fill us in!
Subscribers rejoice! next week we’re hooking you up with all the off the wall or at least off the topic stuff that didn’t make the final cut of our episodes for the month. Then it’s right on to next month’s movie, Time Bandits!
X-Men Days of Future Past: Part 4
Thanks to their convenient mutations and combat training from a distressingly young age, two pop culture observers/zany podcast sidekicks/most excellent friends are here to give you some fun and maybe a little hope through a breakdown of time travel media.
The month has been full of mutant shenanigans and we’re here with a strong finish for the series with digressions and bloopers episode. At one point in our recording session, Ben’s mic decided to play some games leading to an extended conversation between Ansel and Erin about birthdays for reasons which may not be terribly clear.
Did you enjoy our takes on X-Men Days of Future Past or birthdays for that matter? Let us know on social media using the hashtag #Time2Party. You can also find all of us on Instagram @BSilverio20 (twitter too), @NYDErngenc and @TheIndecisionist
Starting next week we’re paying a visit to the Time Traveler’s Wife. Is this a strident change of tone? Yes. Is the conversation still a pile of fun wrapped in a velvety layer of silliness and discussion about how book adaptations are tough? Also yes. Prime your players and stock up on your libation or intoxicant of choice because the drinking rules are just one week away.

It’s time to revitalize the brain cells you may have lost with some edutainment. What Are we going to talk about, you may ask. Well, lets just say both are purported by some to be for getting lucky while others remain dubious about those claims.
Make sure you’re subscribed on your pod catcher of choice because next week we’re treating you to some top shelf off topic digressions and tangential conversations. It’s time for our bonus episode and be warned, you’re not ready.
X-Men Days of Future Past: Part 2
Thanks to their convenient mutations and combat training from a distressingly young age, two pop culture observers/zany podcast sidekicks/most excellent friends are here to give you some fun and maybe a little hope through a breakdown of time travel media.
In this episode we give you almost a full hour of review including the perspectives of someone who only knew the comic continuity a little and someone who knew it really closely. Regardless of what we knew going in, we certainly know a lot more now about how to time travel with just your brain, why killing people with your touch might get you cut from a movie and when it might be a good idea to edit the time travel out of your time travel movie.
Make sure you’re subscribed on your pod catcher of choice because there’s more where this came from. Next week, Ben and Erin are bringing you some fresh edutainment from “X-Men: Days of Future Past” and we’re pretty sure there’s no way you’ll guess what they’re going to cover.
X-Men Days of Future Past: Part 1
Thanks to their convenient mutations and combat training from a distressingly young age, two pop culture observers/zany podcast sidekicks/most excellent friends are here to give you some fun and maybe a little hope through a breakdown of time travel media.
This movie is another one that divided us. Mostly of the division was between us of 2014 and us of today. Were our standards too low in 2014 or are they too high now? Either way, this is a great movie to enjoy while becoming slightly less able to remember the details. Thus, a drinking and smoking game has arrived, primed to make your viewing that much better.
Make sure you’re subscribed on your pod catcher of choice because There’s more where this came from. Next week, Ben and Erin review “X-Men: Days of Future Past” and trust us when we say, there is a lot to cover.
Beyond the Time Barrier: Part 4
With nothing but questionable math and paranoia on their side, two pop culture observers/zany podcast sidekicks/most excellent friends are here to give you some fun and maybe a little hope through a breakdown of time travel media.
This movie broke us. It was a complete unknown and we actually had a lot of diverging opinions. It made us question a lot about ourselves and the plague year in which we recorded this strange journal of our continuing madness. In this final epiosde of the month, enjoy all the odd side conversations, tangents and frustrations that were brought to mind.
Make sure you’re subscribed on your podcatcher of choice because next month we’ll be watching the much maligned and very timey-wimey “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” Feel free to pre-game. We’re certainly going to.
Beyond the Time Barrier: Part 3
With nothing but questionable math and paranoia on their side, two pop culture observers/zany podcast sidekicks/most excellent friends are here to give you some fun and maybe a little hope through a breakdown of time travel media.
Beyond the Time Barrier brought a lot of questions about future technology into play. Surveillance, pandemics, genetics, fertility and sign language just to name a few. Are any of those topics on which our intrepid viewers got fixated? Nope! Give this episode a listen to learn about the backlot politics that went into making this movie and more discussion about the doors than you might have expected. Made during the height of the space race and cold war, this movie stands as a record of movie studio drama, the consequences of romance and just how much the air force was willing to let actors play around with their stuff.
Make sure you’re subscribed on your podcatcher of choice because there is one more episode coming this month. Our recording sessions are intentionally twice as long as the content we need. Where does the extra tape go? into a bonus episode of digressions and bloopers is where. And if you want to pre-game, next month we’ll be watching the much maligned and very timey-wimey “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”
